Beautiful Butterflies

I've had the idea for this layout in my head for months and have only today found time to put it together and I've had a lovely messy afternoon. The picture is of my great niece.
I was inspired by the sketch over at Scrapping everyday miracles but have turned it 90 degrees. 
 
and I took the colours from the final August challenge over at Lasting Memories
  I started by using a Martha Stewart Punch all over the Page butterfly punch and then smooched the page in distress inks sprayed with water.
Over this I applied texture paste through a doily stencil and added script stamping and ink splatters. I also stuck patterned paper behind the butterflies.
 I layered up the photo on papers and project life cards and added embellishments - I punched the hearts and added Stickles glitter glue to one half for a touch of bling.
I also added sequins and dots of Stickles between the butterflies for a bit more shimmer
 I'm really happy with how my page came out and would like to share it here -
