Fashionable Mail..

Wow- you shared lots of lovely new techniques and stamps for our last challenge over at FSC, it's going to be so tricky choosing a top three as always ! Time for a new theme and Shirley would like us to create something with a Mail/postage theme, this could be Postcards, Stamps, Envelopes, Letters for example. For some reason I was a bit stuck with this one, which is daft as it's not really difficult but I just couldn't get any ideas flowing (something I've been experiencing a lot lately!). So I kept it really simple and created some custom notepaper and matching envelope.
I used a creative expressions stamp from a set called butterfly, on the bottom and top edges of some writing paper and the front of the envelope.
I created a lining for the envelope by using the same stamp on a sheet of paper previously printed on my Gelli plate (still loving this glorious messy process!!) - by coincidence this was a page from an old stamp album so even that fits the theme !
To finish off I punched some squares from the left over bits of lining paper and added them to the front of the envelope and paper. Now - who shall I write to ?

The rest of the FSC team have, as always, made some beautiful projects for inspiration, so do pay them a visit – and we have a fab special guest this challenge too! It would be great to have you join our challenge - don't forget we MUST see some stamping, not just Digis, and the winner will be chosen at random and receive a voucher to spend over at FlonzCraft...Happy creating..Esther xx

  1. Hi Esther. So great to see a whole writing set done in mailart! The inside of the envelope is inspiring...so glad you are having so much fun with the Gelli plate (it's fun to get messy). You can write me a letter if you like ~ I love the whole idea of inked letters and envelopes.
