I’m really looking forward to the Queens Jubilee but probably not for the same reason as everyone else. You see Jubilee day is the tenth anniversary of meeting my lovely other half Pete…and also a few days later it’s my birthday ! I’m making the most then of the Jubilee/London themed challenges about and have scrapped some photos from my Birthday trip to London last year.
I’ve used the sketch from “Just us Girls” for inspiration.
It was my 40th and Pete booked a gorgeous limo. We stayed in Covent Garden and were there for Trooping the Colour for the Queen’s official birthday and saw the RAF flyover. You can just see the planes in the slide frame below !
I’ve used the page showing London from an old road atlas as background, which I covered with a thin layer of Gesso to tone it down a bit before adding stamped images (Indigo blue and Crafty individuals) and embellishments. I made a couple of little pin wheels and love how they turned out ! The crown is stamped on acetate and embossed with Ranger African gold EP.
It’s ages since I’ve done any scrapbooking and I’ve really enjoyed myself today. I’ve more photos from this trip so may have to have another go Tomorrow (Yay for Bank Holidays!) – lets face it if this wet weather keeps up we won’t be going out anywhere!
