Curiously catching up

When Linda’s Compendium of Curiosities challenge (over at Studio L:3) ended I tried to join in with Grungy Mondays, but to be honest challenges that start on a Monday are not great for me as I mainly get time to craft on a Sunday so usually miss the cut off.  I was very pleased then that COC 2 is running from a Friday,  having said that I’m playing catch up as this is week four and it’s my first entry ! The background is created using the Faded Layers technique on Page 43.  It uses one of my favourite techniques, masking, but more than that I cannot tell you !

After creating the background, I added some torn music paper, stamped the keyboard and violin (Stamp Addicts). The chipboard music notes are embossed with  moonglow powder (Midnight Ruby Obsidian). As this includes masking,a technique I love, I’m sharing this over at The Stamp Man who are asking for….our favourite Technique !

In order to catch up I’ve cheated somewhat and combined the first three techniques that Linda chose onto one tag – these were from Pages 46, 58 and 66.

I’m sharing this over at Ali Manning’s Vintage Page designs who wants to see our bird themed creations.

Well I’ve enjoyed having an extra day off, but it’s back to work tomorrow so I better start sorting myself out for bed...Thanks for looking..Esther xx

BTW, I have candy until the end of May. I'm running the Race for Life in memory of a friend and if people sponsor me £1 they go into the draw to win a £25 crafting voucher.

  4. Both pieces of art are gorgeous.
I struggled to pick one fav technique really as I love so many but the ones I reach for time & after time has to be wrinkle free distress backgrounds with bleach.
