Now this tag is a CASE (Copy and Steal Everything) of a tag made by Hels Sheridan on her blog here. I've not become a thief overnight, it's for the Gingersnap Creations once in a blue moon challenge which is a 'dare to pick a piece created by one of our talented Gingers Design Team within the last six months and, using your own images and flair, create your own sensational piece of art.' Not sure about the sensational bit but I gave it a go. I chose this tag because I really liked it and Alcohol inks are one of my favourite things, but also because it ties in with the Compendium of Curiosities Challenge over at Studio L3. So while I was creating for Gingersnaps I also made this card to enter there also. I'm not sure if it's a bit dull but I was going for a contrast to the vibrant busy brightness of the previous one.
Thakns for looking and thanks to Hels for the inspiration - Esther xx

They are both lovely Esther. You have to look at the book as an investment, then its OK...lol But you have to agree there are some exciting techniques to try. Have fun. Annette x

ReplyDeleteBeautifully done, Esther, in both cases! The first one is so happy and bright in the best way! And, your second card doesn't look dull- just soft and lovely!
ReplyDeleteI hope once you spend more time with your new book, you'll learn to love it as much as I do. Either way, though, I'm thrilled that you have it and are joining in on the Compendium Challenges! See you next week??
Hugs,
Linda
Both of these are so pretty. Love the wild and bright one then I see the other and it's so pretty too.
ReplyDeleteThese are both gorgeous! I love both color combos. One is so bright and striking, the other subtle and soothing. Great work!
ReplyDeleteEsther, both are lovely pieces of art! I look at the first part of my book as a bonus - a little eye candy. To me the book is worth it's price to have all these cool techniques in one place...so much easier than hunting the internet. Hope you enjoy the challenges and come to love your book more & more :)
ReplyDeleteLove the colours you've used on the second one....not dull at all!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous cards! I love your soft muted butterfly piece, absolutely beautiful! Great tag, the brightness of the background suits the expression perfectly. Cheers!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Thanks for playing the Gingersnap Creations CASE a Ginger Challenge!
ReplyDeleteFabulous technique ... I love the different look when you change up the color palette.
ReplyDeleteYour creations are so pretty!
ReplyDeleteAnd, from someone out in Reno, Nevada, who also had to "break the bank" to buy the book ... I'm with you in the cynicism. :)
Lovely work, thanks for playing along on Gingersnaps.
ReplyDeleteBoth are wonderful pieces of art. The colour combination on both is brilliant.
ReplyDelete"Sensational" is a perfect word!
