Lazing by the Pool

I'm scrapping holiday photos from 2006 when we took a trip to Cyprus. Relaxing by the pool quickly became my favourite pastime.

I used a 12x12 sheet of Prima watercolour cardstock and made a messy, smooshy background with Gelatos in shades of green, blue and a little yellow. I mixed a little Gelato in each colour with water to add splatters before laying down some dry wall tape to which I added more Gelatos.  The title words are stamped on Kraft and embossed in white. 

I've been playing around with making my own embellishments and created the little flip flops and cocktail by forming a mould with hot glue over stamps and using cloud clay which I've painted with Gelatos once set.  I've also added stamped and embossed circles, gems and some Nuvo Crystal drops. To finish off  I trimmed down the water colour card and added to a piece of green cardstock for a contrasting border. 

It's lovely to look back on our holiday pics, especially when there seems to be no signs of summer here yet.  I'm sharing my layout over here -
