One Layer Brushos

The other day I took delivery of a starter set of Brushos and have been having an enjoyable, if messy time playing ! I still need to do some more experimenting but I made this card today for the IndigoBlu 'Just one layer' challenge.
After stamping on watercolour card I painted the flowers and also sprinkled some Brusho around the edges of the image. Once this was dry I applied Micro Glaze to the painted area before spritzing the whole card with a very pale spray made from a tiny amount of Emerald Green Brusho. While this was still wet I added some additional sprinkled of Brusho in Emerald Green, Leaf Green and Brilliant red.  Once all this was dry I stamped and embossed the sentiment and added background stamping before finally swiping round the edges with Barn Door distress ink.
I love the effect of the Brushos that contain multiple colours, think I'm going to be spending a lot more time playing - which also means more time with green/blue/purple/red fingers !!

As well as the IndigoBlu challenge I'm sharing this here -

  1. Hi Esther! Amazing one layer card! I hope you're having lots of fun with your Brushos! I just got a set of its American equivalents called Color Bursts :) They are explosive in color aren't they :) But fun to learn about and work with :) Thank you so much for bringing this lovely card to my April Showers Bring May Flowers challenge this month at Our Creative Corner!! XOXO-Shari

  2. Hi Esther, what a lovely card. I am just getting into Brushos, they are great fun and you get some amazing effects with them depending how you add the water. Your card looks really good using watercolour paper. Thank you for joining in the challenge at Our Creative Corner, hugs Jan x
