Wow - so we're into May and there is even a hint of sunshine here in my part of the world - plus we have a bank holiday weekend so I'm looking forward to having a bit more time for my craft room. Talking of which it's time for another challenge over at Fashionable Stamping Challenges. It's the turn of our lovely leader Shirley to choose a theme and she's calling her challenge 'Circle the Globe' which means we must use a circle on our creation. I've made a tag -
Kraft tag base over which I applied Picket Fence Distress stain. I coloured a strip of old book page with Distress inks, then used stamps from Tim Holtz (Papillon) with Walnut stain distress ink. I stamped over the butterflies with the script using picket fence distress stains. For detail in the background I've added a die cut Gelli Plate Print using Tim Holtz trellis die (this is my latest fav purchase - you could be seeing it a lot!).
My focal image is from Flonzcraft stamped onto kraft card which I've again tinted with Picket fence distress stain. I added a little colour to the image and some gold rub n Buff to the edges.
As always my fellow FSC teamies have created some beautiful works of art so please head over and check them out. I hope you feel inspired to join our challenge - Don't forget we are a stamping challenge and we especially need to see that the stamping is the focal point on the project and that this must follow the format of the theme. NO Digi stamps please, but digi downloads are ok to enhance your project. Our sponsor is Flonzcraft and the winner chosen at random will receive a voucher for $20 - we also give special mention to our top 3.
