In the Craft-Room Library

Hello all - time for another challenge over at Craft-Room and this week Debi has chosen a great theme - 'In the Library'. Like Debi I love books, and loved this theme for which we'd like to see books, stamps of books, mini books, altered books, pages from books, text, script.....need I go on? Rogue Redhead Designs are the sponsors for this challenge and they have some really original and gorgeous stamp designs.

Rogue Redhead Designs specializes in vintage, eclectic
and modern stamp designs. Pressed into quality red rubber, these highly detailed images are sure to impress.
I've used stamps from RRD relish reading set on my project which is a Book journal. Now I'm renouned for starting projects with enthusiasm and then not having time to complete or even carry on with them, but this one is something I can just dip in and out of whenever I want. I love reading, and have started this journal to record my thoughts or create some art (or a bit of both) inspired by the books that I read.

I've used a page from an old book I had when doing my Nursery Nurse training  (nearly 25yrs ago - yelp!!), which discusses what books to read wiht children. I've added an additional sheet on the right stamped with Judikins Italian script, inked through a diamond mask and added RRD images and some tissue tape.
This gorgeous RRD image is coloured with watercolour pencils. The inking is all done with Distress inks.

Over at Craft-Room it's Helene's second week as a Guest Designer, if you'd like to be a Guest Designer with us at Craft Room Challenge, it's easy peasy to apply, just add GDT after your linky name and Mervi will get in touch with you with all the details.
