..Roses! I missed the last letter in The Craft Barn’s Alpha challenge, but found time this weekend to make my entry for the current letter, which is ‘R’. I’ve chosen Rose as my word and here is my page in my dream dictionary -
My page is covered with a layer of gesso, then distress stains to give a pale wash. I stamped with bubble wrap and a little Rose stamp and added a few skeleton leaves. The main image is a botanical stamp from PSX, one of the first stamps I ever bought. I stamped and water coloured, then masked it so I could stamp the Italian script.
Dreaming of Roses symbolises love and admiration. As a psychological symbol the rose represents perfection and contains within it the mystery of life, it’s grace and happiness. It also suggests the cycle of life, through the cycle of it’s own growth and decay.
I’m glad I found time to join in this week, may even get to catch up and do a page for the letter I missed too !
I also just have to say that I'm very excited to have been chosen as the featured artist over at Sketch'N'Stamp for my heritage scrapbook pages !
Thanks for stopping by…Esther xxx
