Embossing madly...

That's what I've been up to this weekend. It's been ages since I had my UTEE out (ooh does that sound rude...?). I absolutely love this technique and over at Gingersnaps they are allowing us to pick a previously set challenge for this months 'Once in a Blue Moon' so I picked GC38: Spicy Supply Challenge - Embossing Powder.  I've had a lovely messy time! No matter how careful I am and what tools I use - (tidy trays, scrap paper, soft brushes, even an old baking tray on occasions) I still manage to get embossing powder everywhere when I do this ! So this is what I made....
I've used the colours from this weeks Play Date Cafe challenge as a starting point and then chose the stamps I wanted to use - in this case the unmounted Vintage No 1 set from Stamp Addicts and Judikins Italian Script (Love this stamp!). I started by stamping the marble effect background in versamark, embossing in clear to create a resist and then brayering over with Big and Juicy,Waterfall. I then embossed randomly round the edge in Stamp N Stuff Opaque Pewter EP. Having cut some Tim Holtz flourishes with my Big Shot, I stamped with script and embossed with Moonglow two tone EP - Tannenbaum Green Gold.
I coloured  square of cardstock with the Big and Juicy waterfall and stamped with Script in Pumice Stone DI.   For each piece of  Thick Embossing I melted three layers of clear UTEE before adding normal EP on top and stamping with Rangers archival ink while still hot. I've used Moonglow two tone EP in Tannenbaum Green Gold, Morning Glory Azure Teal and Stamp N Stuff Opaque Pewter. Some paper twine and a Tim ticket finished off before layering onto the front of a note book with some more die cut swirls and script stamped paper.
I'm entering this piece into the following challenges -

Hope you've all enjoyed the weekend, Thanks for stopping by - Esther xx
