WOYWW...can't keep putting it off

Now - I haven't even had my summer holiday yet - (7 weeks and Cyprus here we come!), but I decided I couldn't put it off any longer and really must make some attempt to start getting Christmas cards organised. So, on my desk today (well last night) is some of the contents of my 'christmas stash' drawer that I started sorting out.
And my box of Christmas stamps which my lovely OH kindly got down from the top shelf for me. Speaking of my OH - he now mentions WOYWW when I get home from work on a Tuesday eve 'cos he knows I'll be off into the spare room at some point to take pics and throw words at the computer. Bless him he's almost as enthusiastic as me !

Ooh and how excited was I today to find a comment left by the lovely Elizabeth and Bleubeard telling me my blog is her 'pick of the day' for weds! I'm so chuffed especially considering the blogs she has chosen from super talented people that completely overshadow my little pieces - and the fun and great stuff she has on her own blog! So thanks Elizabeth xx  And as if that wasn't exciting enough, I have also been picked as a Ginger Gem in Gingersnaps Creations 'Marker' challenge - what great news to end the day on!

Well I'm off to study the weather forecast - we've a picnic planned at work tomorrow  (well today!) I work with foster carers and we throw an annual get together in the local park for them and the children. I'm face painting being the 'arty one' of the team, but it will be a little soggy if the weather's like it was today...i.e. very wet! Keep your fingers crossed for us! Happy WOYWW...look forward to hopping about when I get home. If you want to share your creative space and have a nosy at others, it all happens here at Julia's Stamping ground!   Esther xx

  3. Is it Wednesday yet? I hope so, because I have started to celebrate! Congrats on being a Ginger Gem. And how SWEET of you to even mention my little blog. The honor is really all MINE, my dear!

I don't own half as many stamps total as you have Christmas stamps. What beauties they are, too. I really love those words. Had to enlarge the photo (nice photo by the way) to see the dove in "Peace." All of them are real keepers.

Still can't wrap my head around Christmas with the heat wave I am stuck in. I would gladly trade you my oppressive heat and humidity in exchange for a little rain. Hope you take photos of your face painting efforts. Have a great WOYWW.

  24. You made a good point about taking photos of the kids. It never even occurred to me until I read your post. That was a DUH moment for me. Glad it was a good day, though.

As an update, at 2 pm my time, it was 107 F. at the bank as I drove by. Right before that, I took a photo of it, and it was 106 F. Must mean I am so hot, I raised the temp at the bank (grin). Happy WOYWW yet again.
