Football...What Football ??

I am relieved to say I have been able to get away with not being too disturbed by the football this week. I don't like it you see so get very annoyed when normal life is disrupted by a group of men kicking a ball around! But, I've been busy at work and spent a relaxing day today crafting so am oblivious to the goings on of World Cup madness!!   This first card is for Late Blossoms Challenge on her blog Simplicity - I do find it tricky to be CAS because I love colour and can't be content with just one or two.  This weeks theme is flourish.  I stamped my flourish (Inkadinkado's  Foliage trails) in versamark dazzle and used my Dovecraft shimmery chalks to add colour.  The sentiment stamp is Hero Arts and stamped in Adirondack Eggplant.  It's not a very good pic, but I have also added a few dots of stickles...mainly because I can't make a card without it!!

...And there I go fibbing again...this next card doesn't have any stickles on it and it's my favourate of the three I've made today...doesn't happen often though!  I made this with a couple of challenges in mind.  Craftalicious have chosen 'monotone' as their theme, so I've stuck to the brown palette using just two Distress inks - Walnut Stain and Tea Dye.  I made both lots of BP - one by 'scrunching  and inking and spritzing and ironing' and the other using my favourate Hero Arts Cling 'dots' stamp.  The picture is put together with three  stamps - the two pairs of children I've had for ages but I think are from rubadubadoo.  Having stamped the children I masked them and used Judikins Seashore cube to repeat stamp (using my stamp positioner to guide me) to get the beach.  I used the sketch from Daring Cardmakers challenge. They have prizes from "Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker" and "Sarah's Cards" this week, and am also entering this card into the 'Summer' themed challenge over at Quirky Crafts.

And finally I've gone cutesy again - using the Tilda with Butterfly and Big Daisy stamps from Magnolia for the Just magnolia Challenge 'In the Garden'  I stamped and masked to create a 'garden' of Big daisy's. I love these flowers they remind me of the sun (not that we've seen much of that today!!) with their bright yellow centres and petals fanning like rays  so I'm also entering this into A Spoon full of sugars 'Sunshine Inspired' Challenge.  I've used the sketch from Stampin for the weekend who had an additional theme of blue and yellow.  I cut the Daisy's along the top edge and   used Silicone glue to raise them slightly from the BP, then sat tilda on top.  The main BP is DCWV and the other two are from sizzix pads. Again I've painted with Distress inks and of course added stickles...crystal this time for sparkly daisies and butterfly!

Well I'm off to catch up with Big Brother..I guess that makes me as bad, if not worse than the Football fans!! Still we all have our weaknesses...hoping your weekend's full of creativity and fun...Esther x
