Trees and leaves

Hi everyone it's Hazel's turn to choose our theme for the latest challenge over at Craft-Room and she's picked Trees and/or Leaves. Our sponsors for the challenge are Crafty Individuals.
We have a special guest designer for September - Annie, pop over to her blog: Curious'n Crafty Treasures and say hello! My sample was one of those pieces that just 'happened'.  I had the background already from a previous crafty play session, I can't really remember exactly how I did it, but I know it involved a Gelli plate printed background on black paper, followed by some dye inks sprayed over a stencil.
So I started with that and decided I didn't want to cover it up because I liked it too much (even if I do say so myself :-) ) so I went with a UTEE Twinchie, behind which I added some skeleton leaves. I used clear UTEE and added pearl violet and gold embossing powders to the top layer before stamping into it while still warm and liquid with a leaf stamp (from ebay, no idea of manufacturer). I added some touches of rub n buff,  a little leaf charm and some twine.
Can't wait to see what you all create - I also must apologise for not getting round all the entries this week, it's great to see so many of you joining us but the week ran out on me and I didn't have time to visit !! Sorry....will try harder !!

I'm sharing my card here-
Vintage Stamping - From Your Garden (I don't have a garden so hopefully it can be from someone else's too!!)

Happy Crafting...Esther xx

  2. Very creative Esther to my eye the background looks like winter trees so the Twinchee matches perfectly with those leaves.
