fashionably irresistible..

Hello there, can't believe it's time already for another FSC challenge but here we are ! Thanks so much for all your entries to our Sew 'n' Sew theme.  This fortnight the lovely Fliss has chosen one of my favourite techniques for a 'can u resist' challenge. I love the effects you can achieve with resist techniques and have used more than one  - I  made a sheet by stamping with Gesso and colouring over with distress inks - the Gesso resists the ink, I think it gives a slightly 'grungy-er' effect than embossing resist.
These two sheets are versamark resist - images stamped in versamark on glossy paper, once dry coloured with distress inks.
The focal image is a different take on embossing resist. Start with glossy card, colour with alcohol inks, stamp and emboss in clear - you can just see that here -
To create the contrast I then applied alcohol blending solution over the image and surrounding area, it lightens the colour everywhere except the embossed image which 'resists' the solution (the 2 photos came out different tones but hopefully you get the idea).
So here they are layered together on my tag - the edges are inked with walnut distress ink and added a little more stamping detail.
The rest of the FSC team have, as always, made some beautiful projects for inspiration, so do pay them a visit. It would be great to have you join our challenge - don't forget we MUST see some stamping, not just Digis, and the winner will be chosen at random and receive a voucher to spend over at FlonzCraft.
