Hey everyone - here we are back for another challenge at Fashionable Stamping and this fortnight the lovely Sue has given us a Sew 'N' Sew theme ! It could be faux stitching, hand or machine, some beautiful stamped images of sewing implements or simply a gorgeous dress form. I struggled to get going with this as it's not really my thing - I dabbled with Cross stitch about 100 years ago but never actually finished anything and although I have a mini sewing machine I've only ever used it on paper for craft projects ! I then remembered an old sewing pattern I had tucked away so I fished that out and went from there -
I've used the pattern instructions for the background, inked the edges and added some faux stiches. The fashionable ladies are a Flonz stamp, and I've used a scrap of Gelli plate background to set them on. The button and thread cards are stamps from Crafty Individuals and I've added Bakers Twine and mini buttons. You can also just about see the sewing machine stamp from CI too on the background strip across the bottom.
The rest of the FSC team have, as always, made some beautiful projects for inspiration, so do pay them a visit. It would be great to have you join our challenge - don't forget we MUST see some stamping, not just Digis, and the winner will be chosen at random and receive a voucher to spend over at FlonzCraft.
I'm sharing this over at -
Happy creating…Esther xx
