It started off like this
I began by sticking old book pages over the tin, applied a layer of Gesso followed by some stencilling and edging in distress ink (walnut stain).
I stamped the beautiful Indigoblu Rose Blush Stamp on to tissue paper and coloured on the reverse with Inktense pencils and a water brush to blend - I used the bright pink and yellow from the picture over at Mixed media Monthly to inspire the colours. I tore round the edges of the images.
I stamped one of the lace strips from the Indigoblu Nottingham Lace set and fussy cut the edge. I die cut some contrasting paper with a Tim Holtz Mixed Media die. Then it was just a case of putting it all together.
Now my pencils are much tidier and pretty too !! I'm sharing my pencil pot over here -
