Scrapping camels !

Had some Srapbooking time today - gotta love Bank Holiday Mondays and as the weather was typically wet and awful we stayed at home and I got creative. I'm working on holiday photos from ten years ago, the pictures are not great and causing me difficulties as they are not very inspiring but are still memories I want to capture - these ones however I enjoyed doing.
I started with a base of black cardstock, all the other paper and card are left over bits and pieces from other pages. Inspiration came from a number of places - a mixture of ideas taken from several of Shimelle's challenges (scrap on black cardstock, use three photos, minimal supplies), the sketch at Stuck ?!

and the challenge picture at Scrap Our Stash.
I used the pink, aqua and yellow colours and bunting from the Scrap our Stash picture for inspiration and they worked brilliantly with the colours in the costumes and camel tassels. I made the tiny gold tassels from metallic thread - if I suggest doing that again, stop me they were sooo fiddly - that's why there are only two.
I recently re-discovered my old Opalite ink pads and so added some stamping with those  - I'm surprised how well it shows in the photo. I used another scrap strip to make a rosette (using Tim Holtz die).

As well as Stuck and Scrap Our Stash I'm sharing my page here -
