Fashionable Stamping Challenge - Sunrise/Sunset

It's time for another challenge over at FSC and this time we are looking for creations including a Sunrise/Sunset. A fab theme to cheer up a dreary February day I had a lot of fun creating a journal page with Brushos, stencils and stamps.
I began by placing a Heidi Swapp stencil on my page and sprinkled Brushos through in brilliant red, orange, yellow and lemon. Leaving the stencil in place, once dry I stamped over the brusho colour with a text stamp and then applied microglaze (Juddikins) to seal the colour before removing the stencil. I then built up the rest of the page applying tumbled glass distress stain between the 'rays'  - (applying the microglaze allowed me to do this without picking up colour from the Brushos) and sticking another piece of water colour paper coloured with Brusho to the bottom section. The birds are stencilled using ranger transparent gloss texture paste mixed with a little black paint
The page was looking a little quirky to me so I thought the JOFY stamps from PaperArtsy worked great. I stamped them directly onto the page and then stamped again and fussy cut the 'flowers' which I then coloured with Derwent Inktense pencils. I applied glossy accents to the flowers and sprinkled some glitter in while wet - you can almost see it in the pic. A bit of random stamping with another couple of stamps from the JOFY range and I was done.

As always my fellow FSC teamies have created some beautiful works of art so please head over and check them out. I hope you feel inspired to join our challenge - Don't forget we are a stamping challenge and stamping needs to be the focal point on your project. NO Digi stamps please. Our sponsor is Flonzcraft and the winner chosen at random will receive a voucher for $20 - we also give special mention to our top 3.

Thanks for stopping by - Happy crafting....Esther
