I haven't had much crafting time lately as my dad has been unwell, but I had some play time at my desk today and had a go at something new for me - a shadow box. As this was a first attempt I thought I'd keep it simple and create a summery flower scene. I started with a layer of gesso over the whole thing.
Then die cut leaves, butterflies and flowers in my favourite purple shades and the on the edge die from an old book page. I used strips of fun foam to layer the dies cuts.
I decorated the outside frame with texture paste through stencil, adding some script stamping and splatters over the top and finishing with a couple of butterflies.
I'm sharing my Shadow box here -
