Sew What at Fashionable Stamping

Well I hope everyone is enjoying or did enjoy a lovely Easter (depending on when you're reading this) it's time for another challenge over at Fashionable Stamping and this fortnight the lovely Clare has asked us to use the theme 'sew what'. I had a birthday card to make for my best friend and this theme was perfect for her.

The background is created with distress inks, I've used a piece from an old sewing pattern and also stamped on a piece of the actual tissue paper pattern. All the stamps are from Crafty Individuals except the sentiment, the text behind the sewing machine and the border stitches.

 I masked the sewing machine to stamp text behind it (Text stamp is from The Artistic stamper) and cut and layered it using die cuts.  The I just added all the little extra bits including a burlap panel and Tim Holtz 'safety pin'.
