With valentines day approaching there are several challenges about with the theme of ‘Love’. It’s not normally a theme I choose, but I saw a demo on you tube with some Friendly plastic and thought I’d give it a go. My OH and I don’t really make a fuss at Valentines but I thought I’d give him this little ATC -
I struggled to get a good photo, for some reason the left side is a bit blurry. The base is covered in old book paper with distress inks applied, then layered with cheese cloth, a bit of doily (which is practically covered up) and some lace.
I made the friendly Plastic piece by painting with nail polish and shaping with my fingers - I think the finger prints round the edges add texture 
. I then just added some mica flakes, tiny beads and a chit chat sticker.

PS its an ink blending mat, fab for inking edges etc but the best thing is it makes brayering sooooooo much easier: http://www.splodgeaway.co.uk/
