Time for another challenge over at Fashionable Stamping challenge, Claire has chosen one of my all time favourite techniques for our theme this time - Masking. Don’t forget that we are a stamping challenge so we do need to see some form of stamping on your project, and no digi stamps are allowed.
The background for my card is created with stencils and distress inks. The main panel is created using Stamp Addicts stamps and more distress inks. Once I’d coloured the card with antique linen DI, I stamped the large butterfly in the corner, the flourish down the edge, the small butterfly and the wording. I used artists masking fluid to mask the flourish as a paper mask would have been far to fiddly, but used a post it note to mask the Butterflies and postmark. I stamped over the lot with Judikins Italian Script stamp and added some purple DI before removing the masks.
I finished off with some rock candy crackle paint to the large butterfly and a couple of the small butterflies stamped and cut out.
I know a lot of people will be busy preparing for Christmas (I on the other hand am in complete denial!) but i hope you find some time to share your masking creations with us...Esther xx
