Celebration Owl

Yellow and Red are not colours I use very often but every now and then I try and make an effort to do something different from my favourates and this is what I did here with this cute owl image. I've smooched Manilla cardstock with Barn Red and Mustard Yellow Distress inks and stamped Judikins italian script in Walnut Stain DI. The brown strip is embossed with a texture fade and the Owl coloured with Pro-markers - I cut the mortar board myself.  The scroll is rolled vellum that's been coloured with Antique linen distress stains.

I'm sharing this here -

The Owl stamp is one from a lovely new set designed by Stamp Addicts and I've used it in a  different way here - on Kraft paper coloured with pencils. The background paper is made by dragging three colours of Distress inks directly aross the paper and then embossing in a Tim Holtz folder.

These are Cards I made a while ago for Stamp Addicts and the stamps will be featuring on Create and Craft in the New year.
