WOYWW - bit of a cheat!

EDIT 7/08/2010 - The invites fit into a couple of challenges so hope it doesn't count as backlinking to enter them now - it's only a few days later and I was so busy at work during the week I didn't get chance to do it. Anyway I'm trying my luck over at The Stampman - Take 2 colours and Sir Stampalot - Bring on the Bling

Well today's WOYWW isn't really today..it's last Saturday but after mentioning the wedding invitations I was due to make on a couple of WOYWW occasions I couldn't let the event pass without a photo - (and also I haven't been doing anything on my other desk!) so here is my dining table set up with my friend busy at work on the envelopes...
And this is the the finished invite - well one of them , we did 55 altogether - Mandy rounded all the corners and wiped each blank with my anti-static bag - I did the stamping, embossing and placing of the gems, a good production line! She wanted simple and elegant and her colour scheme is black and white.
I also then altered a guestbook for her - she had been given it as a present but it was cream and gold so I removed the front vellum cover and replced it with one I made up that matched the invites and went with her colour scheme.
So, sorry I've cheated a bit this week but I had such a great time with my friend over the weekend and wanted to share....To have a look what is going on at other people's creative spaces, pop over to Julia's stamping ground - working from home today so going to try and get round a few more than I usaully have time for...Happy WOYWW, Esther xx

  23. Oooh Esther, fabulous work - how pleased Mandy must be! Black and white seemed tobe the order of the day for weddings when we were in Sydney, balck tie and the bridesmaids in black cocktail type dresses - always stunning. And it's not cheating - at all!

  28. I promise not to tell ANYONE that you cheated. I am so impressed with those wedding invitations. I could NEVER do that. I would have to make about 175, of which maybe 50 would be noteworthy. You did an excellent job, along with the matching guest book. Way to alter and effuse!! Happy belated.
