I didn't know where to start today...it's my birthday and I have the week off work. I have very excitedly just taken delivery of my first order from Wild Orchid Crafts which is now covering my desk, but earlier I was busy finishing a sample for a competition and had taken pics of my desk with that in progress, so I thought I'd show both !!
So this is my desk at 11.30 this morning when I stopped for coffee part way through making up a card. I had come across some encaustic art backgrounds I made ages ago and decided to use one of them with an Elusive Images Stamp (from the Butterfly Poppy collage themeplate) My first thought was to stamp in black but that was an obvious choice so I went for white to see how it turned out, and I think it worked ok - the light has reflected in the photo so you can't see very well but I used Stickles Frosted Lace on the Poppy heads. I used Crafty Individuals backing paper and a lovely sentiment from Stampendous.
great desk, love those encaustic backgrounds. I have never tried it, maybe one day I will.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday !!!! Enjoy your week off and love your new flowers !!!!
