First Ever Magnolia Stamping...

Can I just start by thanking everyone who has visited and left comments, I started this blog a week ago thinking it might just be me, my best mate (thanks Mand), and maybe my mum if I showed her how to get here, but it's been great to hear people comment and be so encouraging.  So thankyou, I feel very welcomed to the blogging world.....

.and now on with it....

I have to admit, it has taken me a long time to get round to trying a Magnolia stamp, I always thought they were a bit cutesy for me...but...well... I just may have been wrong! This stamp arrived in the post today (I had ordered it, it didn't just make it's way on it's own!) and I have been playing this evening  - I really should be going to sleep but just had to finish what I started...you know how it is!

The stamp is Alva with flower and I painted her with water colours (still saving for those copic markers!) and used these colours so I could enter her into the Colour Create Challenge with a baby pink and pastel blue theme.

Not colours I would usually go for and I struggled a bit to find flowers to match so am not completely happy with them. The dotty paper has been in my stash unused for years, the cut wavy strip is from a sheet of scrapbok paper by Imaginisce and the plain is Bazill though goodness knows what the colours are called.

I used the sketch set on Sketch Saturdays'  blog for this week and will also enter into the Charisma Cardz challenge as the theme is 'flowers'. Now as addictive as I'm finding this,...I have to get up for work in a few hours and I'm tired and rambling so I'm off. Nite all x
