Looking for Spring...

Although the 3 squares challenge at Less is More is closed, I'm still being inspired by this simple recipe and have created another card today.  I made a mixed media masterboard as detailed in the March edition of Craft Stamper Magazine using the fresh spring colours of the Sir Stampalot challenge - Green, yellow and Blossom Pink (though I've yet to see any signs of spring in my neck of the woods!).  I cut three squares from the board and stuck them straight onto a card blank on which I had already scored lines and just added some tiny gems for a little bling.
I'm not completely happy with the masterboard which layered gesso, spritzed distress inks and bead gel before stamping (Stamps are Tim Holtz)but for a first attempt it was ok and I will definately have another go as it was fun and messy to do!

This card is for the challenges at-

  9. Hi Esther

Great minds and all that, been having a play at the same this week as well......

Your take on the technique is beautiful and your creation just gorgeous. The scored lines draw the eye right into the three squares.

I think it can be quite scary leaving white space as cardmaking in general nowdays seems to be the 'pile it high' theory and it's very easy to follow the trend.

Many thanks for sharing with us at Stampalot this month.
